Retail Customer Safety

LinkerVision turns a store's existing camera network into a 24/7 VLM-based safety and security system. On live feeds it detects customers or staff who fall or collapse on the sales floor and people signaling distress by waving or calling for help, so staff can respond immediately, and it alerts when anyone enters restricted or back-of-house areas such as stockrooms, the cash office, or staff-only zones.

VLM output

At a supermarket checkout, a cashier in a green shirt passes scanned groceries (oranges, a milk bottle, cheese) across the counter while a customer in a red sweater holds open a paper bag and packs them. The exchange proceeds calmly with no incident, spills, or hazards visible in any frame.

Customer challenges

1

Falls on a busy floor can go unnoticed until a customer complains or files a claim, and delayed response worsens injury and liability; shoppers or staff in trouble may not be able to reach help, and staff can't watch every aisle at once; and doors get propped and tailgating happens, so unauthorized entry risks theft, safety incidents, and loss.

Customer benefits

Faster aid and reduced injury severity with documented incidents for liability defense, faster response to anyone in need, and real-time intrusion alerts that protect restricted areas and reduce loss — all through full-floor coverage without extra staff, for a safer store that complements existing access control.
