Retail Anomaly Detection

LinkerVision turns a store's existing camera network into a 24/7 VLM-based anomaly-detection system. On live feeds it flags unusually long dwell in sensitive areas such as high-value shelves, entrances, and fitting rooms for staff or loss-prevention review, and detects blocked exits, fire lanes, and aisles caused by stock, pallets, or carts.

VLM output

An overhead CCTV camera watches a narrow retail aisle between stocked shelves as a single person in a black hooded jacket and dark trousers walks along the aisle, pausing and turning toward the left-hand shelving. Across the four frames the person moves down and toward the left shelves, hood up and face largely obscured, with no other people or staff visible.

Customer challenges

1

Prolonged loitering can signal theft intent or a safety issue but can't be tracked manually across the floor, and blocked exits and aisles are common safety and compliance violations that go unnoticed until an inspection or emergency.

Customer benefits

Early awareness for loss-prevention with deterrence, focused staff attention, and reduced shrinkage — while keeping egress and aisles clear to reduce audit findings and stop blocked paths from making emergencies worse.

Key features

Loitering & Dwelling

Flags people lingering in an area longer than expected.

Obstruction Alerts

Before & after

Before Loitering noticed only if staff happen by or after a loss. Obstructions found during periodic walkthroughs or after a near-miss. After — with Linker AI Nexa Extended dwell in flagged zones alerts staff for review. Blocked exits and aisles flagged in real time for immediate clearing.
