Resort Digital Twin & Vehicle Tracking

Built on a 3DGS capture of the resort covering both the grounds and building interiors (reception lobby, visitor centre, guest rooms), with the canal boats and the autonomous park shuttles built as independently controllable 3D assets. The system takes in live position and heading data for each vehicle and updates where every boat and shuttle is and which way it faces in the browser, so guests and the front desk know where the boat is and how long the shuttle will take without asking anyone. The viewer supports rotate, pan, zoom, reset to default view, and locating or following a chosen boat or shuttle. Validated at a resort in Hualien of about 27 hectares and 2.36 km around, including a 2.2 km canal and 7 jetties.

Key features

Park 3DGS Base Scene

Captured scene of canals, bridges, jetties, park roads and building exteriors, plus interiors of the reception lobby, visitor centre and guest rooms, with background scene and vehicle assets managed as separate layers that update independently.

Vehicle Digital Assets

Canal boat and autonomous park shuttle exist as independent 3D models, with moored boats and parked shuttles removed or patched out of the captured background to avoid overlapping the live assets.

Real-Time Positioning

Live position and heading data drive each vehicle's position and facing in the scene, multiple boats and shuttles are shown at once, and connection loss or data interruption is shown as a status rather than a misleading position.

Web 3D Viewer

Rotate, pan, zoom and reset to default view, locate and follow a chosen boat or shuttle, and switch between vehicles from a list, all in the browser with nothing to install.
